The San Antonio Teen Pregnancy Prevention Collaborative (SATPPC) is a Metro Health and SA2020 workgroup with a goal to decrease the San Antonio, Bexar County teen birth rate (females ages 15 to 19) by 50%* by the year 2020. The SATPPC follows the Five Conditions of Collective Impact**

The SATPPC worked together around the SA2020 goal to decrease the Bexar County teen birth rate by 50% by 2020.

The SATPPC monitors the teen birth rates within three widely accepted age categories (10-14, 15-17, 15-19).

The SATPPC organizations each carry out intervention activities that fit into the overall plan of action (logic model). Everyone has a piece of the puzzle.

Metro Health maintains consistent communication to the SATPPC organizations through email and one to one phone calls.

Support
Metro Health serves as the backbone for the entire initiative and coordinates the participation of the SATPPC organizations.

The SATPPC consists of several youth serving organizations in San Antonio who are implementing evidence-based prevention programs and/or collaborating on five intervention areas.

*2010 baseline year: Teen birth rate 50.9 births per 1,000 females ages 15 to 19.
